Your guide to renting apartments in Brooklyn

I have spent a lot of time scouting out the Brooklyn area. Firstly i only wanted to stay in New York city, but to be honest it quite hectic sometimes. Living in New York City and running out of milk is a big deal. Can you imagine having to go to the store. You cant just throw on a old pair of tracksuit pants and an old tshirt. No way...you gonna have to look the part because as soon as you exit your building you walk into the fashion capital, a street filled with hundreds of well dressed stylish New Yorkers, unless you're in a touristy area where most people are overweight and badly dressed with pink sparkly I Love New York Tshirt's ... if thats the case,  you're OK.

But for me , i want to live in a area thats a little more quiet. A place I can take my son for a walk without getting stampeded by a bunch of destination obsessed workers. Depending where you stay in Brooklyn, it only takes 25 - 30 minutes round about to get into Manhattan. Which is really a short trip.

Below is my favourite place in Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights but also the most expensive. You looking at 3000 $ for a 1 bedroom and 3500-4000 $ for a 2 bedroom. But wow this place is incredible, i walked through the neighbourhood yesterday.

So I have done a load of research and decided to share my research with you

The areas i found are more expensive than the rest, but you dont wanna live in the East, South or North East of Brooklyn.
The best placing to rent in terms of safty, beauty, convenince are Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Downtown Brooklyn, Prospect Heights, Prospect Lefferts, Carroll Gardens, Boerum Hill, Redhook and Park Slope. There might be other places that im missing out on, but so far these areas look most promising. There is also a really nice area in Queens that i stayed before called Astoria.
